- Aromatherapy - One of my favorite ways to combat stress and
promote calmness. Aromatherapy can be used in the form of scented oils or scented candles. Some scents for
treating stress and anxiety is geranium, lavender, jasmine and cypress.
- GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid) - GABA is an amino acide that you can try to see if it will
help ease your anxiety symptoms. The way it works is that it has a positive effect on brain receptors.
- B-Vitamins - Take a multi vitamin each day. Make sure it has B-Complex in it. And Vitamin
B12 which helps your body resist the negative effects of stress and anxiety.
- St. John's Wort - This is a herb that is often used as an anti-depressant. But it can also
reduce the effects of anxiety and it's symptoms. Like I said for the other herbs... do not combine this herb
with prescription drugs without the OK from your Medical Doctor.
Now, most anxiety symptoms are caused by excessive stress. And stress can be induced by emotions and physical
symptoms. It is a way for your body and mind to say that it is in distress. But you need to seek a balance in your
life by taking the steps to reduce your stress levels, get enough sleep every day and take better care of your
body.
Doing these things can definitely have an improvement over your life. So try one or more of these natural
anxiety remedies today and see if they help. Another thing to do is reduce your caffeine intake and try to get some
exercise regularly.
