What is the Story About Using Magnetic Therapy for
Pain?
Well, does magnetic therapy for pain really work? Or is it just some scam that
takes advantage of folks' beliefs that there is a miracle out there?
Magnetics have been around for ages... civilizations used the power inside magnets to alleviate pain. And no
wonder... it isn't a hard sell for ancient doctors that magnets can drive away diseases from the
body..jpg)
And today... well, magnets are part of the amazing arsenal of medical technology that is used to help keep us
healthy and pain free. For instance, magnetic resonance imaging.
We can't help but notice that magnets are everywhere. Especially those magnets that we can place around our
bodies for pain relief. The magnets can be found in the jewelry, shoes, belts or even mattress pads.
Some say these types of static magnets can help your bones repair themselves after a fracture or break. Some
practitioners believe that magnets can help treat blood disorders such as circulations by decreasing the toxic
materials in the blood and increasing the flow of oxygen in the blood.
Truth be told... sure there is beliefs out there that magnets are the panacea to many of the ills facing us...
there is little scientific evidence that supports the facts that magnets are effective in reducing pain within the
body.
But of course there is opinions on the other side that claims when you expose parts of your body to the strong
magnetic fields, you will experience positive benefits. Many alternative professionals also agree with this claim
that magnets can help block or relieve the pain in the body.
However, as sceptical as many folks are... magnets have found a place in the current medical field...
Magnetic foot pads have been used to help relieve numbness and pain in the feet for those suffering from
neuropathy from diabetes.
Those with chronic back pains have been treated with strips of magnets that are taped to their back, or magnet
braces to help alleviate painful back aches.
Magnets have been used to help treat those who suffer from the effects of Fibromyalgia with magnetic
mattresses.
There are magnetic headbands that are used to help those who suffer from headaches. Another option is to tape
the magnets to the back of your head.
Although magnets are quite safe and don't have the risk of serious side effects like many treatments do... there
are some studies that "suggests" that magnets can offer some relief for pain. Magnets may help boost the flow rate
of blood to the areas that are in pain which can help remove the toxins and help calm down the muscle spasms.
Here's my practical opinion [which of course should NEVER be substituted for medical advice from your doctor]...
we should always try different ways to treat and relieve our common pains and aches... many times we tend to pish
posh alternative treatments that may offer some benefits.
Because the most powerful healing device comes from within. Our bodies. We weren't designed to be in perpetual
pain... and sometimes the answer is simply to find natural ways to help promote our own bodies healing
capabilities. And using magnetic therapy for pain may actually be more promising than thought.
