Information on Anxiety Attacks
I want you to understand that if you are someone that you know is affected by anxiety disorders... the
information on anxiety attacks in this article can be helpful. A lot of
folks who aren't qualified on this subject will say, at the very least, anxiety and panic attacks are just feelings
and nothing more.
While they are right about that... there is much, much more than it appears on the surface.
You see, anxiety is something we ALL feel or experience now and then... when we are stressed out, worried or
scared about something.
Now, anxiety by itself isn't a bad emotion to have. Our ancestors used these feelings to survive for thousands
of years. For instance, we may feel anxious when we get a minor automobile issue such as a flat tire. And then we
use that anxiety to take that flat tire off and replace it temporarily with a spare tire. Then we get that flat
tire repaired.
Anxiety does have its uses and anxiety can be present in normal situations. And we can be anxious when going to
the dentist, at work or even when being late for an appointment because we are stuck in traffic.
So the question is... at what point does "normal" anxiety cross the line and becomes the excessive anxiety that
can have an adverse effect on our everyday lives? The answer of course is when you realize that your anxiety,
worries or fears starts to become so large... so overwhelming... feels irrational... and leaves us unable to get on
with our duties. Some of us can be so incapacitated that we won't leave our rooms or our house!
And of course, the deep-rooted feelings of anxiety can go hand to hand with physical reactions.
At that point, we start to see the physical manifestations of our anxieties within our bodies. Emergency rooms
in most of the modern countries will see patients rushing in because they don't know why they are feeling the way
they do. And truth be known... many of the symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks can imitate those of more serious
medical issues. This is why it is extremely important for you to be checked out by your doctor...
Just to rule out the heart attacks or other serious medical problems.
But as I just said, for those experiencing anxiety and panic attacks... it can sure feel like you are having a
heart attack. Some of the symptoms of the anxiety disorder can be chest pains, shortness of breath, sweating and
literally, a pounding heartbeat.
It is scary... and quite embarrassing when the emergency room personal says that you are perfectly fine. But you
know what? I think it was a good idea ANYWAY to go to the emergency room because you weren't sure exactly what was
happening to you. It is better to be sure that you don't have a heart attack, right?
But like I said, be sure to set up a visit to your doctor right away and find out what exactly is happening to
you and what your options are. Your doctor will go over with you. Most likely, he or she will prescribe medication
or suggest therapy...
While those options are good to alleviate your symptoms... they won't cure the underlying conditions of
anxieties.
For that, you need to go a little further... but not harder...
What I mean by that is checking out some of the programs that help you stop anxiety and panic attacks from ever
happening again. There are good ones and bad ones. The very best I've see is Panic Away.
But don't let me be the only one to say that... if you go to the Panic
Away site by Barry Joe McDonagh, you will find a lot of testimonials by grateful former sufferers of
anxiety and panic attacks that completely ended their sufferings... all by themselves... without medication or
expensive therapy... and now live a normal life again... emergency room free of course.
I also wanted to plant a suggestion in your mind that having the anxiety and panic disorder DOES NOT mean you
are crazy. There are millions of people all around the world who have the very same condition in varying degrees...
it is just the way the brain was wired and how the body was conditioned to deal with the anxieties.
And best of all, you can change the way your brain thinks with some really neat phychological techniques... made
easy by Barry Joe McDonagh in his Panic Away program.
The second thing I wanted you to keep in mind is that you MUST seek help when you feel your anxieties and
worries are getting out of control. Nobody will think less of you when you do... because you are seeking help to
stop the destructive cycle. To me, that is the mentality of a warrior...
So seeking information on anxiety attacks is a much more preferable way to quickly put to stop the feelings that
you experience. And start living a life without worry or fear again. Sure, it won't always be easy... but you are
definitely on the way to being cured.
Good luck and best wishes,
Kate
