What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?
Folks diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder (or GAD) worry about everyday things
all day long. GAD is characterized by persistent, excessive and unrealistic worry about everyday sort things.
And often, these fears and worries have no grounds... The sufferers of GAD are overly concerned about general
things that most people take for granted... money, health, family, school, work and other things. They cannot
stop worrying and many times feel everything is getting out of control.
And GAD is more common than you would think. The Anxiety Disorders Association of America estimates about 6.8
million adults or 3.1% of the United States population has this condition. And just like most disorders... women
are twice as likely to have it then men. Not only that... GAD risk is highest between childhood and middle
age..jpg)
The exact causes for Generalized Anxiety Disorder isn't understood... but there are many factors suspected...
biological background, life experiences and stress.
The good news however, is that GAD IS
treatable! At first, I suggest that you see a medical professional for proper diagnosis.
Because you want to be sure that you don't have any underlying undiagnosed conditions causing your symptoms. Once
you get that out of the way... here are your options...
Your doctor will probably recommend therapy or prescription medicines.
However, my feeling is that those two methods have major drawbacks.
- They don't cure the underlying cause of your disorders. They just minimize your symptoms so you can
tolerate or cope with them. But if you stop going to a therapist or stop taking your prescriptions... your
symptoms are likely to come back.
- Prescription medicines may cause uncomfortable and annoying side effects.
This is why I suggest that you look into Panic Away by Barry Joe McDonagh. You see, Joe used to be a sufferer of panic attacks
and anxiety attacks. And he figured out how to use an advanced psychological technique to completely cure his
disorders... as in they never came back. So Joe wrote a book about what he did and explained it simple and easy
so anyone can duplicate his results.
As a result of that book, over 27,000 former sufferers cured themselves of their disorders and no longer need
expensive therapy or prescription medication that has difficult side effects! Please check it out for yourself
