What to do if You have Panic Attacks in College
I just read an interesting article on The Ranger site from the San Antonio College in Texas.
They interviewed a nurse about treating panic attacks… and she pretty much said everything that I have been saying on this website and blog.
That anxiety is the body’s response to stress… and the stress can become excessive and uncontrolled… which can become panic attacks or anxiety disorders.
But the main thing about panic attacks… if you are undergoing one… is to remain calm. There is no need to call 911 because you are not in danger… and that makes sense to me… because we do want our medical professionals available in case of someone having a real medical emergency.
The nurse did say that college students can come into the college health center for additional aid.
So if you are a college student and you suffer from panic attacks or anxiety attacks… be sure you know where your college health center is… so you can go there for help when you need it.
Good luck and study hard!
