Should We Be Predators and Attack Our Anxieties?

It seems like every day brings more bad news… the economy, politics, crime, terrorism and other current events that stresses us out.

And our newspapers, radios and TVs cannot stop talking about bad news. It makes us even more depressed, more anxious, and even more stressed out. It even gets to the point that we feel vulnerable, paranoia and we get paralyzed with indecisiveness.

Well, to tell you the truth, I much rather be a predator and not a food item on the menu!

I know! It does seem a little weird, what I just said. But hear me out… You see, a predator is optimistic. And that is what being optimistic is all about. So, let me ask you this: What do you call a pessimistic predator?

Should We Be Predators and Attack Our Anxieties?

Answer: Hungry. Very hungry.

You see where I am getting at? I think it is very important that we do something each day in our lives and don’t let all the noise, pain and suffering that is going on around the world overwhelm us. It is OK to be sympathetic, but you cannot solve everyone’s problems and crisis by yourself. It is impossible and it is definitely one of the main reasons we get so stressful.

Here is one of my most favorite short saying (that you may have already heard but bears repeating):

“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up knowing it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will surely be killed. And every morning a lion wakes up knowing it must outwit and outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you’d better start running.”

So what do you think? Should we be ‘predators’ and be optimistic each day and attack our anxieties?

If you are bothered and stressed by all the din and confusion spinning all around us each day… I suggest that you look into Panic Away as a solution to calming yourself and permanently ridding the stresses, anxieties, panics and depressions that causes you so suffering and pain.

I wish only the best for you,

Kate :)

Hi,Kate. loved the one about the Lion and Gazelle. Yes, there’s no beating an optomistic predator particularly if they are unrelenting, dogged and have an unconquerable spirit. the type of qualities that sufferers from mental illness (as I have/still do) generally posess.

I thing Barry Joe McDonagh’s “Panic Away” is just great. I used to suffer from panic attacks for decades and I’m now relatively free of them through a change of attitude, lifestyle and relaxation. But becoming well again is not easy.

The first and most important thing for me was aquiring a safe place to just be myself without demands from others. When I had time to analyse the social situation I found myself in and how traditional values were used to keep me under the control of others I, managed to get back control of my own life on my terms.
