Hugh Laurie Reveals His Fear of Being Embarrassed
I was reading a recent copy of the Parade magazine that came with my Sunday paper…
And the cover of the magazine caught my attention… “I Fear Making a Fool of Myself.”
For those of you who don’t know who Hugh Laurie is… he is an English actor that acts the quirky D.r Gregory on the Fox TV show… House.
He goes on to say… “Nothing ever bothers me… But messing up my lines or making a fool of myself is where you find my fears. Like a lot of English people, I’m prey to embarrassment – the dread that everyone’s sort of sniggering at you, that you’re going to look like an ideot. I think that sort of halts us all.”
And right you are Hugh! That goes for everyone else too… I live in dread that I will do something embarrassing…
But what I found not surrprising is that most everyone will go WAY out of their way to avoid the fear of embarrassing themselves… such as fear of panic attacks or the fear of anxieties… such that they will never mention it to anyone.
Or just avoid doing anything that will trigger the fear…
And why?
Well, it is sort of embarrassing to admit that you have a fear… or a phobia… and what can even be worse is imagining that people will laugh at you for admitting a weakness!
And that my friend… is probably the top reasons why most people who suffer from panic attacks or anxiety attacks or even depressions or any other myriad anxiety disorders they have… keep it to themselves.
Here’s is another thing… after someone reveals something and it comes out in the open… most of the family members and other close friends and workers… admit surprise! They never knew what was going on in your mind and your fears…
And many times… they are very sad and wish you didn’t have to suffer in silence for so long…
I read that typically… a sufferer of panic attacks or anxiety attacks wait ALMOST 10 freakin’ years before they seek out help…
That goes for seeking out medical care and therapy too… or a solution!
But thankfully, you DON’T have to wait so long anymore… and it is practically low cost… and very effective… if you get the ebook called Panic Away.
Like the title of the book… Panic Away gives you the psychological tool to permanently ban the fear of getting another panic attack or anxiety attack EVER again from your life… forever and ever!
Check it out and try it… I really think you should,
Kate
