How to Tame the Panic Anxiety Attack Symptoms Part 2
I’m going to continue talking about how to take the panic anxiety attack symptoms in the second part of a series of blog posts.
To continue… if left untreated or not treated properly, panic symptoms can blow up and really have an adverse affect on the quality of your life. It can become pure hell (excuse my French). And it can affect everyone that you have a relationship with… from a romantic partner to family members to close friends. Everyone can become affected by your panic disorder.
It truly can be a disaster of epic proportions…
So to defeat the hold that anxiety attacks have on you and your life, you need to understand what exactly is happening when you experience a panic attack. Sometimes there are physical symptoms and sometimes the symptoms are internal. So understanding the panic symptoms and why they occur is the first step you need to take to seek treatment for the conditions.
And believe me when I say this… everyone has a different set of panic symptoms. These symptoms cover a very wide range. And generally, you will suffer from a few of them.
For instance, one of the most common symptom of panic attacks is the feeling of doom… that you are going to die. (But you are not… it is just a feeling).
And panic attacks come out of the blue. Sometimes, nothing causes it to appear… it just happens. And that fear of getting another panic attack really exacerbates your anxiety disorders.
Some sufferers may report racing heartbeats. And it can feel like your heart is just about to jump out of your chest. And quite commonly, many times those who experience the racing heartbeat go to the emergency room.
I’m going to stop right here. But before I do, I want to make certain that you understand that you should have your heart checked out anyway! Because there is a chance you do have a heart condition but it is best to rule that out before seeking treatment for your panic attack symptoms.
Until next time,
Kate

This is a good post Kate. I’m a former sufferer of panic attacks and I think it’s really important that people get help right away as you suggest, because otherwise they are delaying the opportunity to get to work on recovery. Also an early intervention can be more helpful than an intervention later down the road. It’s also a good thing to get a physical check up – for sure.
