Anxiety Attacks Causes Part 1

Anxiety disorders are more common than most of us would think. In fact, the very idea of getting another anxiety attack can actually be the trigger for one. And to top it all off… society isn’t really understanding on this issue… because there is a stigma of anything that is related to the brain… of being “crazy” or even a “weak” minded person.

Of course that isn’t true… but that won’t stop a lot of normal people from thinking that. This is probably one of the biggest reasons why those who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks don’t seek help when they should… just because of the fear of being ostracized by the public.

Walk for Health and Meditation Part 3

I’m back and I’m here to talk more about how you can walk for health and meditation at the same time.

Now, when we all think of meditation… we imagine the practitioners closing their eyes and focusing with depth and acute mental clarity. But when you are walking and meditating at the same time, you are almost doing the same thing. What you are doing is focusing internally. Your breathing… your left foot and right foot. And so on…

However, I do want you to be aware of your surroundings, because after all, you don’t want to put yourself in any danger of sudden appearances of automobiles or unruly dogs. Try to find a calm and peaceful place… like a designated walking zone… near the beach or at your favorite park. Try to avoid the very busy streets and construction zones… that wouldn’t be a great idea. Read the rest of this entry »

Now I want you to understand that when you walk for health and meditation… you aren’t oblivious to everything. No, you are paying close attention to each and every step that you take. You are watching and feeling your breathing. You see, meditation is all about inner awareness.

And you don’t have to walk fast… in fact, some folks might even say that walking slower is much better for meditation. But this is what you should do… try walking at variable speeds and figure out which speed is the easiest for you to focus on taking steps and breathing… and stick with that speed.

Sounds pretty simple, right? Well, maybe… Read the rest of this entry »

Walk for Health and Meditation Part 1

In short, walking is king when it comes to mental health. Let me explain what I mean by walk for health and meditation…

You see, not only walking provides some cardiovascular benefits, especially if you are doing a strenuous, uphill walk. But walking is something that I love to do frequently because I can “zone out” and focus on myself while walking.

This is very important… when you are walking… find an area that is designed for walkers. Such a path in your favorite park or along a nice, long beach. But the key thing is that you don’t have to watch out for cars and other hazardous events… and can focus inward… meditation. Read the rest of this entry »
