Try these Natural Immune Boosters Part 2

This is the second part in a blog series for strengthening the immune system. For some of you, you may want to follow the link to read the first part…

Granted… today’s medicines can perform miracles… but the reality is Doctor’s cannot prescribe some “magic pill” that cures everything. It isn’t happening yet… not until they invent Nanobots that can go into your body and fix whatever needs to be fixing… but I digress…

What you CAN do right now is try several alternative ways to reduce your stress which as I talked about in the previous blog post… can have a traumatic effect on your immune system. So reducing your stress levels so they are more manageable is a good way to strengthening the immune system. I hope that made some sense to you!

And the ways to reduce stress can be anything from meditation, aromatherapy or hypnotherapy. I swear by moderate exercises and workouts. Everyone is different and you should try more than one way to see which works best for you!

Another area that you can tackle is nutrition… Yes! I mean it. Sadly, most adults ignore this very important subject. And when you look at statistics that show over 65% of the adults in most modern countries are either obese or overweight… it is pretty obvious that the proper diet isn’t being adhered to.

And here is why nutrition is so important to your immune system… you need to ensure that you are getting the full range of vitamins and minerals that your body needs to effectively do its job. And just gulping down a multi-vitamin isn’t enough. This is what I do. I try to eat an assortment of foods that represents a rainbow for strengthening the immune system.

And by rainbow, I mean I try to eat different colored foods such as yellow, red, green and purple. And other colors too.

So try to eat a variety of healthy foods such as fruits and veggies.

Of course I won’t leave out the importance of some herbs for strengthening the immune system. And I’ll talk about those in my next blog post.

Until then, be healthy, safe and wise!

Kate :)
