Walk for Health and Meditation Part 1


In short, walking is king when it comes to mental health. Let me explain what I mean by walk for health and meditation…

You see, not only walking provides some cardiovascular benefits, especially if you are doing a strenuous, uphill walk. But walking is something that I love to do frequently because I can “zone out” and focus on myself while walking.

This is very important… when you are walking… find an area that is designed for walkers. Such a path in your favorite park or along a nice, long beach. But the key thing is that you don’t have to watch out for cars and other hazardous events… and can focus inward… meditation.

But the best thing about walking for mental health is the low cost. You just need comfortable clothing and a good pair of walking shoes. Another great thing about walking is that human beings were designed to walk. For hundred of thousands of years… our ancestors walked from continent to continent… so we were built to walk with short bursts of speed to run away from predators.
