Some Ideas to Try for Natural Headache Relief


For most of us… whenever we feel the pain of a headache… the first and only thing that pops up is how to find a natural headache relief for it.

But depending on which type of headache you have… you probably should use a different method to defeat and give yourself relief from the headache. Again, some headaches are different so they must be treated differently. Here are some “tried and true” methods for natural headache relief.

First of all, you can use a warm compress to apply to the spot on your head where you are experiencing headache pain. And for compress… it can be a hot water bottle, a warm washcloth and some other type of hot compress. But the key thing here is to use moist heat rather than dry heat. The warm compress is terrific for relieving tensed muscle… for loosening up your sinuses for headache relief.

However, if you are suffering from a sinus headache… I find that standing in a hot shower gives me relief. And that’s because the steam helps loosen up my sinuses.

I also tried eating very spicy foods… the key thing here of course is that you LOVE spicy foods!! Like I do! :)

And when you do eat hot and spicy foods, your nose will run which helps relief your congested sinuses and relieves your headaches. It does sound like a weird idea but it works for me. Try it!

Here is another good idea if you have some time and a little money… get a massage! I’m getting one today. I usually get regular massages because I feel that I deserve it. Massages help relieve your stresses that accumulates over time. I prefer the deep tissue massage but you may prefer other types… ones that are more relaxing… it depends on your comfort level and preference. So talk it over with a good massage therapist and see what they recommend. But in any event… a massage is terrific for soothing and calming your bunched up and tensed muscles. And it can help relieve your headaches.

Here is another thing to keep in mind… SLEEP! I mean good sleep. Many folks have trouble sleeping because they are worried about something or other. But in my opinion… worrying is a wasted emotion. I read that like 90% of the stuff we worry about NEVER HAPPENS!!

And yet, worrying can occupy our minds all day and night. So learn how to cease your worrying… if something bothers you so much… find the solution right away and deal with it… and this way, you won’t have to worry anymore…

But if you are worrying about something that you can’t control… well, you need to find out how to stop worrying about it because like it is suggested… whatever you are worrying about has NOTHING to do with you.

So stop worrying so much and get some good REM tonight. And you will find that you have less stress and potential for painful headaches. A good night sleep is very critical because this is the time where your body repairs itself.

One more thing… make sure you have a good mattress and pillows. Support while sleeping is very important but often ignored. This alone can be responsible for your headache. So it is something for you to think about.

To sum it up… try to control what you can control for headache relief. And find out how to stop worrying about things that you can’t control too. Surprisingly, these methods are some of the very best natural headache relief that you can do. And when you DO follow some simple steps to rid your headaches… you will find that you have more energy and a brighter and more positive outlook on life.
