Quick and Dirty Headaches Symptoms Guide
Having a headache is pretty common for most folks. But some of us would like to determine what type of headache is bothering us. And more importantly, determining the type of headache you are suffering from is pretty important when seeking help. And to do that… you need to understand your headaches symptoms.
Of course, you also have to understand that I’m not a doctor. I did some research and these are my findings. But as always, you should see your medical doctor if you are experiencing constant, frequent and painful headaches. They can be symptoms of a more serious condition. So be safe… and see your doctor.
The first type of headache that I am going to describe is the sinus headaches… These guys can be extremely painful but they are NOT life threatening! They will and do… make you feel very, very miserable. And you can treat this type of headache with over the counter medication to reduce your congestion. However, if you have congestion for over seven days, or you have that thick and green colored mucus… I think it is time to bring in the professionals. SEE YOUR DOCTOR!! This isn’t the time to be stubborn and you should definitely see if your condition calls for prescription medication that only your doctor can give you.
The next type of headache that I want to talk about is the tension headache. So if you are feeling pain around your head or in your neck… it could be the tension headache. Sometimes people describe the symptoms of this headache as a visor around the head. The bad thing about this type of headache is that it can last for days if the source of tension hasn’t been relieved! The good thing about this type of headache is that you can treat yourself with over the counter medication… but sometime it can call for stronger medication from your doctor. But tention headaches can be proactively avoided if you regularly practice relaxation techniques and full body stretching.
The 3rd type of headache is the migraine headaches. Those guys can pop up kind of sudden and hurts a lot. They can happen only on one side of your head. And the symptoms of the migraine headaches can be severe pain only on one side of the head, sensititivy to light and sounds… and nausea. So if you have headaches and are throwing up, see flashes of light in your peripheral vision or have a little difficulties talking… it is possible that you have migraine headaches.
And yeah, migraine headaches can appear to be frightening and hurtful. And many sufferers of migraine headaches have their day ruined… so much that it curtails their daily activies and work habits. But the very good news is… it is treatable!! And you absolutely should see your doctor if you suspect you have a migraine headache for effective treatment.
Another type of headaches are the chronic headaches that hurts a lot but don’t have the other common headaches symptoms. Sometimes these headaches are caused by physiological problems. So if you are experiencing some weird headache symptoms… you should see your doctor. Again, your doctor should be able to determine the causes and best treatment for your headache so that you can regain the quality of living again.
Good luck,
Kate
