Anxiety While Seeking Work…


I admit it… looking for a job in this economy is going to be tough. But the key thing here is to calm yourself down. And think it through.

And realize that this lousy economy isn’t forever. Eventually, things will get better. In the meantime, you need to take care of business.

 Anxiety While Seeking Work...

What I mean by this is that you should pay attention to your health. Work on your communication skills. Find ways to improve your job skills that will make you more valuable to your potential employer.

So let’s go over these a little more in depth.

Pay attention to your health. This is the PERFECT time to find a diet and stick with it. And create an exercise program that will challenge all your muscle groups. When you lose weight and get in shape, your body will be more alert and you will definitely feel better about yourself. And it will show… to your family, friends and… employers!

Next is communication skills. I recommend Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends & Influence People Anxiety While Seeking Work.... This book was written over 50 years ago and it is so true even today. Human nature has never changed… and the most important thing that you can learn is how to make the other person feel appreciated.

The next one is a biggie… how to improve your job skills. It is a little tricky because it depends on what type of job you are looking for. But in my opinion, for most office and computer related jobs… learning how to create websites, blogs and other skills can be valuable. Learning some more marketing skills is good too. If you can sell anything you want… you will never lack for a job. But the key thing here is to get all the information free. So instead of wasting your time on facebook, myspace, unrelated forums and espn… try to learn how to make yourself a more valuable employee.

There you have it! I hope I gave you some pointers how to fight off the job search anxiety.

    “Things will eventually get better”.. the question is how long will it take? Getting nervous is also a human nature. You have to provide for yourself to make sure you eventually make it to see a healthy market.

    I know whats this exactly anxiety attack is.I am suffering from it right now.When you get “NO” for several reason for showing some stupid reasons no matter how strong you are mentally you start feeling like a useless and frustrated.About economy i agree this is not forever.But no one can tell us how long this recession is going to stay here.In past there were recession which lasted more than 10 years.I just can hope this wont be like it.

    This recession has badly affected the economy and i hope it does not stay for a long time.We have to provide ourselves to make it to see a healthy market.
