Alternative Way to Fight Off Depression with Exercise Endorphins Part 3
This is the last part of the series of how you can naturally use exercise endorphins to control your depressions.
So to continue… remember hearing all about that “runners’ high?” Well, that is exactly what an exercise endorphin driven movement feels like. But you don’t really need to pound the pavement for a couple of hours or anything. Just doing some exercise movement is going to generate some endorphin high which can help your depression.
And the kinds of simple exercises that you can do?
Well, how about walking around the block… some strength training with a pair of dumbbells, or some other body weight exercises that you can do in the privacy of your own home. Sometimes, all you need is a little room in the house to do some floor exercises. And the movements that you do will help release the endorphins in your body.
Another benefit is that endorphins also help act as a stress buster too. Some experiments suggests that endorphins can also act like a pain reliever too by blocking out the pain signals to your central nervous system.
So do some exercises as the endorphins will help support and elevate your moods. They can help support and build up your body’s resistance within the immune system. As a result, making you feel healthier and more alive than ever. Or for a period of time after you stop working out.
However, it isn’t the end all… so if your depression is really bad or keeps getting worst.. you would do well to seek medical help from your family doctor.
And yes, your doctor may decide to prescribe some medication to help you control your situation… but you should still try to get off the couch and do some activity to simulate your body’s production of exercise endorphins.
I hope you feel better soon,
Kate
